Automotive offers crankshafts that are customised in accordance
with the customer's material specifications. The crankshafts
are forged using medium carbon alloy steel with annealing
and normalizing. Further, the forgings are shot blasted
to achieve a superior finish on the forging surface, and
meticulous crack detection tests are carried out a Magnaflux
crack detector.
The crankshafts' journals are hardened using AEG-Elotherm
equipment to ensure uniform hardness and hardness depth;
moreover, the journals are ground, lapped and polished with
precision grinders and micro polishing machines.
The crankshafts are dynamically balanced using machinery
from Hoffman of Germany. All the dimensional parameters
of these crankshafts are controlled in accordance with international
norms and standards. |
