Shriram Automotive since 1989 has the expertise to develop safe, cost saving approaches, custom made solutions for individual customer requirements ensuring competitive end-products.
We offer the complete range starting from 50 mm upto 240 mm bore of semi and fully finished Cylinder Liners and Air Cooled Blocks suitable for the entire automotive range and expanding upto the industrial and locomotive engines (covering engines which produce 3500 H.P.).
Optimal and required material alloys are used depending on the OEM specifications. High precision and required O.D. profiles are produced using latest VMCs and HMCs, besides the common CNCs used.
Special features such as phosphating, nitriding and hard chrome plating both on the inside and outside of the bore are provided based on Engine model requirements.
Timely availability of the product is ensured and the development time for any new model of Liner / Sleeve / Air Cooled Block is less than sixty days from the date of request. No development cost is charged for Cylinder Liners and Sleeves. Both, centrifugally casting process and shell moulding process are used for manufacturing these Liners.
Our Exports are made to countries like U.S.A., Germany, U.K., Italy, Morocco, Brazil, Turkey, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Argentina and Australia, both for the O.E. and Replacement Market.
A wide range of Re-boring Sleeves are also offered with specific outer diameter and required material specifications.

CRANKSHAFTS
Our Crankshafts are forged using Medium Carbon Alloy Steel with the help of 6000 tonnes hydraulic press of OHIO, U.S.A. Our Crankshafts are manufactured on the latest generation of C.N.C. machines. This assures a precise fit and enhanced engine life. The Crankshafts are Induction Hardened using AEG-ELOTHERM equipment ensuring uniform hardness. Hoffman (Germany) dynamic balancing machines are used for precise balancing of our Crankshafts.
CYLINDER HEADS
Our Cylinder Heads are cast using the latest techniques in shell moulding process. The machining accuracies are achieved using CNC machines and heavy-duty surface grinders. The current product range includes single and multi cylinders for diesel engines. Latest Machining and foundry set-up allows developing new designs / fresh applications within a short period.
CONNECTING RODS
Our Connecting Rods are manufactured from forged alloy steel. The manufacturing process is designed to control all machining dimensions to a high degree of accuracy to meet OEM specifications. Special bi-metal alloy bushes are used for specific applications. Weight of Connecting Rods is controlled as per OE specifications ranging from 5 to 25 grams per unit. Commonly used materials are EN-15, EN-9, EN-8, CK-35 V 75-85, 42 Cr MO4 and as per the customer requirements.
